Oh where oh where ...

If you've ever seen "Bear in the Big Blue House" then this song is a familiar one to you.  It's one that we sing quite frequently in our home, though we change the words to sing "Oh where, oh where, oh where is Ethan?" when he is waking up.  It's a wonderful tradition that I just love because when I sing "Where can Ethan be?" he responds with a very loud "BE!" and a big smile!

I digress ...

I feel very much like you could all be asking "Where oh where oh where is Kami?!" because I have been gone for so long.  Blogging hasn't been on the top of my priority list as of late.  We've been crazy busy the past couple of weeks and I'm just doing what I can to keep my head above the water.

A couple of weeks ago, Monte and I spent five days visiting Las Vegas with his parents.  This was my first trip to Vegas, and it definitely is a city to remember!

We stopped for a visit at Hoover Dam ...

Taking in the beautiful sunshine and scenery with my love.

We walked the strip in Vegas at night ... talk about a sensory overload!!!

We ate at great restaurants.

We went and saw The Blue Man Group - Best.  Show.  EVER!

We toured the city with the world's most amazing in-laws (and parents, in Monte's case)!

What a wonderful trip it was!  Though there were a couple of days that were colder than anticipated, we still got out and saw the sights, took some power walks to get our exercise and stayed busy through the trip!  It goes without saying, though, that absence makes the heart grow fonder and coming home to our kids is always the most rewarding part of any trip!

Last week was Spring Break for my kids, so they had the entire week off from school - and what a gloriously beautiful week it was!  The weather was in the 70's all week long, which allowed us to get outside and play - and do some yard work, too!  We had a really great week, but I think we were all ready to get back to our regular routine.

So that's me - once again catching up.  Now I have a mountain of laundry to attack and a baby to play with!

So, how are you?!
